it is not accurate the galaxy watches are the worst , i have tested galaxy 5 pro which should be better but it is not , the amazfit bip 5 speically with the latest firmware the heart rate and oxygen detection is much better

Despite the negative review, I'm gonna get this watch/band. R=0.99 for running is pretty good. I expect its got better overall sleep tracking than the previous generation as well. This band is not out in my country yet, so if the full review comes out before then and the sleep tracking is also poor, I might just as well go for band 8 or xiaomi band.

I owned a Garmin Fenix 3 and now own a Forerunner 265. I am disappointed and somewhat angry that Garmin watches are not between 0.9 and 1 in their performance. For what you pay they should be in that range. And how can the Venu 3 be so far down from a Venu 2. I don't understand how the Garmin tech is not better than this. Can anyone explain it to me?

0:55 you are absolutely right. If you sync the data to runalyze you can actually see what is hidden in the FIT file. As an example the Vivoactive 4 does not have Training effect or recovery time. But in runalyze both data is present. Garmin just chooses to hide it from the user to sell their more expensive watches...

If apple’s standard watch had a battery life that lasted longer than it does, the sleep tracker would be more useful. E.g. I have a series 6 and the battery lasts about 18hours. At the moment most people who don’t have an ULTRA charge their watch while they’re in bed because the battery doesn’t last more than 18-20 hours.its not really an all-day wearable Compare this to my Garmin, which gives me a good 6-7 days….

I just got one second hand for Wear OS app development. It was a very affordable option. Shame that the sensors and algorithms are as bad, because the watch itself is nice and its display gorgeous.

I've been using this watch for a year and a half and I'm not too satisfied. I never take it off and I've noticed some patterns. For example, when I wash my hair, it counts a bunch of steps that I actually didn't take. Sometimes the GPS doesn't work properly; I want to run and it just won't connect to the GPS, which is quite annoying. After about 8 months, the original strap broke and I had to buy a replacement, which indicates its poor quality. Also, the skin under the original strap sweats abnormally. You can't read the screen in the sunlight, which is a disaster. If you're in the pool and forget to turn off the auto turn-on for the screen, the water will click who knows what on the screen, and then you have to get out of the pool and dry at least one finger to turn off the screen auto turn-on. I would say you get what you pay for; the GPS is good when it works, and that's why I use it the most. I've done comparisons with the SpO2 readings and it always matches the results from medical devices designed specifically for that purpose. I don't trust it very much for the number of steps I've supposedly taken; I only consider that roughly, and I trust it even less for the calories burned and heart rate. Sometimes I glance at the sleep phases, but I don't really trust it either. One should be aware of what can generally be expected from Mi devices, especially for this price.

Both of these watches and others after Jan 2024 have their Oxygen Sensor software turned off. Lawsuit expires in 2028. I'm using my Series 8's (have two) until then.

I bought it just for sleep and steps So for other activity, I dont bother at all I am satisfied with it. Would be great if we can check other stats other than activities like spinning cycling etc

It will be nice if you find a way to measure calories burned on each type of workout and compare with different devices. Or better yet, compare calories burned during 24h.

As I get more and more into fitness I'm almost at the point of wearing two smart watches, I own a galaxy watch 4 that I use for calls, texts, payments, streaming music, etc, but the battery life really sucks and I'm tired of missing out on important health data while it's out of battery or on the charger.. I'm simply looking for a low budget watch that will accurately track total steps, total hours slept, resting heart rate and has a battery that will last for a long time without charging, I don't need any of the other fancy features and settings that some of these watches have. I really appreciate these videos as I know it would take me quite a while to figure which one is right for me.
